Hello! My name is Joe Bailie. I am from Belfast (born and raised). Over the past several years, my teaching roles have taken me from rural landscapes in Ballyboley to megacities in China. Similarly, my experiences during this time have varied. Initially, Primary Education trained, I sought to expand my teaching experience to GCSE Mathematics teacher; through Career Professional Development.
From September 2023, I will grow my experience again to include doctoral student at Queens University Belfast.

As a teacher, regardless of school or subject, I seek to enrich students’ experiences and make lessons fully engaging. Pupil safety and voice are also of great importance to me. To assure the young person their views and feelings are taken seriously. To facilitate this, I endeavour to form meaningful teacher-student relationships. As a result of taking time to know my students and identifying their strengths and interests, I can create enjoyable lessons.
