My name is Kerry Hart and I am a fully qualified, Ofsted outstanding-rated teacher of over 25 years. I teach English up to A-Levels in both Literature and Language, across exam boards and have a wealth of experience in using various teaching styles to ensure my teaching meets the needs of my students, including those with additional needs.

As I do not use any pre-written lessons, every lesson is created to be personal and purposeful for each student's specific requirements. I do also work as an advisor for a consultancy firm who is in partnership with exam boards. My knowledge and skills, therefore, are constantly updated and I pass these along to my students directly, helping to unlock 'secrets' within the curriculum using (for example) exam paper exemplars and mark schemes to help understand how to access higher marks and thus clearing the path to better grades. This approach ensures that my lessons are fully prepared and adapted to suit individual needs, leading to the strongest outcomes and impact.

I am also very particular about the expectation of good communication. I understand that responding as quickly as possible is paramount to a stress-free, 'easy' relationship - even when things have to change last minute!

I welcome any and all information that can improve insight into students' needs. Prior to commencing tuition, we will start with a meeting whereby students and parents can discuss what outcomes they're hoping for. If there are any advisories from school or exam feedback, we will include these too, making sure lessons are as informed and individual as possible.
